What we collect and why
We collect personal data only where you provide it directly or where it's technically necessary to run the site:
Contact/enquiry form. When you submit the form on our Contact page or request a Free Audit, we collect your name, email address, and, if you choose to provide them, your phone number, company name, and postal address. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and, if you proceed, to deliver the service you've requested. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering a contract) and, where no contract follows, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Server log data. Our hosting infrastructure automatically records technical data for every page request (IP address, browser type, referring page, date/time, requested URL) for a limited retention period, to operate the site securely and diagnose faults. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation).
Cookies — essential. A small number of strictly necessary cookies store your language preference and your cookie-consent choice. These do not require consent under GDPR/ePrivacy rules because they are essential to the service you've requested. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / § 25(2) TTDSG (German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act).
Cookies — analytics (Google Analytics 4). We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage (which pages are visited, how long, from which country) so we can improve the site. This is non-essential and loads only after you actively consent via the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer, which stops future data collection. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your consent). Google Ireland Limited processes this data; where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, this occurs under the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Data we do not collect
We do not collect payment-card data (no live payment processing exists on this site), and we do not sell personal data to third parties, ever.
How long we keep data
Enquiry/contact-form data: retained for up to 24 months from your last contact with us, or for the duration of any resulting client relationship plus statutory retention periods, whichever is longer.
Server logs: retained for a maximum of 30 days, then automatically deleted.
Analytics data (if consented): retained per Google Analytics 4's default retention settings, currently 14 months, then automatically deleted or anonymized.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15); request correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16); request deletion (Art. 17); request restriction of processing (Art. 18); receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20); and object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). To exercise any of these rights, email support@classseo.com. We will respond within one month, as required by Art. 12(3) GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for Berlin, this is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (BlnBDI).
Data transfers outside the EU/EEA
Where a processor we use (such as Google, for consent-gated analytics) transfers data outside the EU/EEA, this is done under the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another legally recognized safeguard under Chapter V GDPR.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes affecting how we use previously collected data will be communicated directly where required by law.
